Prevention & Wellness Exams

Prevention & Wellness Exams

From new puppy and kitten visits to adult and geriatric work ups, we perform thorough and comprehensive exams and discuss appropriate health issues. We have a comprehensive vaccine protocol and offer intestinal parasite testing, deworming, flea and tick prevention, and microchipping for pet identification. Our goal is to keep you well informed of your pets’ health concerns and provide you with information to help you make informed decision about the care of your pets.

A large part of what we do each day is involved with medical services. Intravenous fluid therapy, a wide variety of injectable medication, pain management, blood transfusions, oxygen therapy, and warm comfortable cages all allow us to provide appropriate medical care for your pets. Our new ICU suite offers a quite place for hospitalized patients to receive care.

Our state of the art in house lab and diagnostics include CBC, Full Chemical Profiles with Electrolytes, Urinalysis, Cytology, Blood Glucose Curves, Digital Radiography, Endoscopy, Ultrasound, Blood Pressure Monitors and Otoscopes and Ophthalmascopes. In addition, we have readily available CT, Ultrasound, and other advanced imaging capabilities through our extensive referral network. All of our digital radiographs are reviewed by veterinary radiologistsa and e often consult with surgical and internal medicine specialists to ensure we are providing the best care available.

Surgery

Our anesthetic and surgical services are a cornerstone of our practice. We continuously strive to provide the latest in anesthesia and pain management protocols. Our anesthetic services are very safe and medically sound. We provide continuous monitoring of anesthesia such as SPO2, heart rate, respiration rate, EKG, blood pressure, and temperature. We provide an extensive array of surgical services. From spays and neuters, to other surgical services including oral, trauma, tumor removal and oncology (cancer) surgery. Our LASER surgical unit also provides an additional level of care. It is a state of the art instrument that allows us to seal nerve endings and blood vessels during surgery. This optional service means less bleeding and better post surgical pain control for your pets.

Dentistry

Dentistry

Oral health care is a very important part of your pets’ overall well-being. Like people, cats and dogs have a constant battle to prevent and control plaque and tartar buildup, and tooth decay. We provide all levels of oral health care such as preventative care, ultrasonic scaling, polishing, extractions, and dental radiographs. Dentals are performed weekdays, usually in the morning, and pets go home in the afternoon. Pain management and antibiotics are often prescribed when pets have a significant degree of dental disease or need extractions.
Companion Laser Therapy

Companion Laser Therapy

Laser therapy is a painless use of laser energy to generate a photobiochemical response in damaged or dysfunctional tissue. Laser therapy can alleviate pain, reduce inflammation, and accelerate recovery from a wide range of acute and chronic conditions. Laser therapy is a scientifically proven, drug-free, surgery-free technique to help make that goal a reality.
Cancer Care

Cancer Care

As part of our overall commitment to pet health and service, our doctors and staff are able to provide a variety of chemotherapy options in the unfortunate circumstance that pets develop cancer. Chemotherapy provides an additional treatment modality that can extend the length and quality of life in pets with cancer. Our doctors work closely with Washington State University and local internal medicine specialists to ensure we are using the latest procedures and protocols.
Pharmacy & Pet Nutrition

Pharmacy & Pet Nutrition

We stock an extensive supply of medications in the clinic. This provides convenient and cost effective dispensing of medications for our clients. We utilize other resources for compounded medications and less commonly used drugs. We also offer a wide variety of prescription diets that are designated to keep your pet healthy while providing great taste and palatability. Please ask our staff members about suggested diets for your individual pets needs.
Cat Friendly Practice®

Cat Friendly Practice®

Established by the American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP) and the International Society for Feline Medicine (ISFM), the Cat Friendly Practice® program is designed to elevate care for cats by reducing the stress for the cat, caregiver, and also the entire veterinary team. We are proud to offer a feline-only exam room, feline-only kennel room in quiet, low-traffic area, and a feline-only entrance and waiting area, plus our staff is trained specifically in gentle handling of feline patients to decrease stress
End of Life/Hospice Care

End of Life/Hospice Care

As our animals grow in age, they grow in our hearts. We understand how difficult it may be to make hospice and end of life decisions with your pet. We are here to help. Choosing a respectful end to your wonderful pet’s life is hard, but when you know it’s time, and the bad days outnumber the good ones, then they deserve a peaceful ending. We know every situation is different and offer many different options. From attended and unattended, to private and communal cremation and home burial we will try our best to help make these difficult times as smooth as possible.
